National Coaches Week is from September 23-30, 2017. It is a week to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. The University of Manitoba Bisons Athletic Teams is thanking all coaches during National Coaches week by giving them a complimentary ticket to a Bison Game. A ticket voucher will be given to any home volleyball, basketball or hockey game that can be used during the regular season. If football is preferred, a ticket will be provided for the Saturday, October 21 home game versus University of BC.

Coaches, you can be entered to win a $25 gift certificate from Human Kinetics if you complete your Respect in Sport (RiS) certification from now until January 2018. The certificate can be used to order any Human Kinetics book or resource. Coaching Manitoba will be doing monthly draws for any coach who recertifies or completes RiS for the first time.

You're invited you to take part in a research study by completing a survey that explores the quality and validity of the coach evaluation experience. This project has been reviewed by the Research Ethics Board of the University of New Brunswick. The study is voluntary and you will only be included if you provide permission. This research is supported by Coaching Association of Canada and is a national study. The survey will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

This charitable initiative supports youth involved in amateur athletics throughout Manitoba, and recognizes the volunteer efforts of coaches.
