Manitoba Harvest sells for $132.5 million - Mike Fata stays on as CEO

Manitoba Harvest has entered into a purchase agreement for $132.5 million with Connecticut-based Compass Diversified Holdings that will see Fata and other existing shareholder retain 13 per cent of the company. "The acquisition of Manitoba Harvest by CODI is an exciting moment in our company's history," Fata said in a written statement.

Boot Camp supports growth of entrepreneurs in rural Manitoba

Four Manitoba entrepreneurs have secured $7,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to give their start up businesses the tools and expertise needed to reach the next level of success following a 2-day boot camp in Brandon. "There is a strong and growing entrepreneurial community in the Westman area" said Jan Lederman, president of Innovate Manitoba.
