Male Softball Continues to Impress

Team Thunder

Pimicikamak Thunder Male Softball Club in Cross Lake were featured in the TSN Original: The Sound of Thunder, in January 2017. They discussed the community of Cross Lake, their suicide epidemic and how Coach Muswaggon is helping through softball. Ten of the Thunder players have made Team Manitoba and will be playing at the 2017 Canada Summer Games this summer! As well, huge congratulations to Thunder players, Logan Evans, Derian Garrioch and Megwan Muswaggon who have been invited to Team Canada's Junior Men's National Softball Team Selection Camp right after the Canada Summer Games. These players continue to shine and we cannot wait to see their success at the 2017 Canada Summer Games!

Team Manitoba Names Opening Ceremonies Flag Bearer

Team Manitoba Rower, Emma Gray

Team Manitoba Rower, Emma Gray, has been named Opening Ceremonies Flag Bearer for the 2017 Canada Summer Games, in Winnipeg, starting on July 28, 2017. Emma only started rowing in 2015 and by April 2017, she had already been named the Manitoba Chicken Junior Female Athlete of the Year by Sport Manitoba. Emma is a highly dedicated athlete who trains on the water and in the weight room for up to ten hours a day! Congratulations Emma!

Athlete Profile - Attila Bernatsky

Attila Bernatsky

Attila Bernatsky will be making his debut at the Canada Games this summer for Team Manitoba Diving. It may be his first Canada Games, but high level competition is definitely not new to Attila. In 2016, he competed at the Junior Development Nationals. Attila has trained for many hours in the gym and in the pool and we can't wait to see how he does! Team Manitoba's Success Through the Years

Team Toba '67

2017 is a big year for the Canada Games as they turn 50 years young! Quebec City hosted the first set of Games in the winter of 1967 marking the beginning of the largest ongoing multi-sport Games in Canada. Team Manitoba was well represented at the '67 Games bringing home 22 medals to start a collection that has grown over the years. Make sure to Follow the Herd at the Canada Games July 28 - August 13, 2017. Do you know a Team Toba medallist?!
