Janine Hanson-Stephens, Canada Games alumna athlete and current coach has been nominated in the Sports and Recreation category for the 2017 edition of CBC Manitoba's Future 40. Janine participated in the Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario in 2001 as an athlete. Before trading in her paddle for a whistle to coach in the 2017 Canada Summer Games here in Winnipeg, Janine represented Canada on the world stage at two Olympics bringing home a silver medal in the 2012 Summer Games in London.

Sport Manitoba is seeking enthusiastic, experienced people to serve as volunteer Team Manitoba Mission Staff for the upcoming 2019 Western Canada Summer Games in Swift Current and the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer. As part of Team Manitoba, you will lead in helping our province's athletes have the experience of a lifetime at Canada's premier multi-sport event. The submission deadline is Thursday, March 15 at 4:00pm.
